THOMAS TORRÉ CHRISTIANSEN

Thomas Torré Christiansen is a co-founding partner with Sundgaard Advokater and has many years of experience with advising in general Corporate and commercial matters, business law and of course insolvency matters, including restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings. Furthermore, Thomas is an experienced litigator and has the right to appear before the Danish Supreme Court along with years of “hands on” experince with Danish labour law.

Thomas Torre Christiansen has worked as an attorney since 2003 and since 2008 as a partner. Thomas specializes in corporate and commercial law, business law, insolvency law and employment law with a focus on both businesses and private individuals.

Thomas has many years of experience in assisting small and medium-sized businesses through the various phases of a business’ life cycle. He assists with the establishment of businesses, incorporation of such, provides ongoing advice for the growing and increasingly complex business, including with company structure, employment relationships, tenancy relationships, contracts, tax relationships etc. In addition, Thomas also helps companies through restructuring and advises in connection with financial difficulties or through business transfers, should it come to that.

Thomas also has extensive experience in the area of equal rights/treatment, where he has led litigation of cases regarding dismissal of pregnant employees.

Thomas has had the right to appear before the Supreme Court since 2010, and for more than 12 years, he has taught courses on litigation at the University of Copenhagen and taught litigation at the Danish Bar Association’s education for assistant attorneys in training.

Thomas Torre Christiansen has worked as an attorney since 2003 and has been self-employed/partner since 2008. Thomas specializes in general corporate and commercial law, insolvency law and employment law and assists both businesses and private individuals.

Thomas has many years of experience in assisting small and medium-sized businesses through the various phases of the it’s life cycle. He assists with the establishment of companies (incorporation), provides ongoing advice for the growing and increasingly complex business, including with company structure, employment relationships, tenancy relationships, contracts, tax implications and the many public law requirements that apply. He also assist regarding data protection and consumer protection. In addition, Thomas also helps companies through insolvency proceedings in connection with financial difficulties or through the business transfer/IPO, should it come to that.

Thomas also has extensive experience in the area of discrimination and equal treatment cases, where he has led a large number of cases regarding the dismissal of pregnant employees etc.

Thomas specializes in data protection and assists small and medium-sized companies in ongoing compliance with the Personal Data Regulation (GDPR) and has received several internationally recognized certifications in the field.

Since 2010, Thomas has had the right to appear before the Supreme Court, and he has led several significant court cases in many different areas of law. For more than 12 years, he has taught litigation at the University of Copenhagen and at the Bar Association’s training program for assistant attorneys.

Thomas is engaged in international legal cooperation and is a member of the association INSOL Europe, which is a European organization for people dealing with insolvency and restructuring of companies.

Through the European law firm network JCA International, Thomas has contact with competent commercial lawyers in almost all European countries.
